A month or two ago I added Giselle, one of my old friends from school, as a friend on facebook. Later that day she confirmed me as a friend (phew…) and we started chatting. I mentioned that I had photography business, showed her some of my photos, as you do…, and it turns out that she has been looking for a photographer to help her create a portfolio of her hairdressing and makeup artist work!! Giselle is a super talented hairdresser / make up artist and owns and runs her own very successful salon, Capelli Belli, in Forbes. So good in fact, that I have since heard of people traveling from Orange to Forbes (an hour fifteen each way) every six weeks for their cut and colours. That is a fair testimonial right there… Giselle wanted to kick off with a punk rock theme and that certainly set the pace for the day. Five models to get hair and makeup sorted, one mini studio to be created in the salon, several assistants and general dogs bodies (sorry Graeme), seven hours shooting and two locations. It was to say the least, a pretty full on day! I had an absolute ball working with Giselle who is an absolute professional. As a photographer you learn to pay special attention to the small details, so I was constantly checking and re-checking the makeup etc, and throughout the whole day I failed to pick up anything that Giselle had missed. A true pro. And a big thanks to our lovely models Shae, Chenoa, Sarah-Jane, Glen and Sam. Hear are a few of my favourites from the day and a slideshow of the whole set. ChenoaGlen
